Working always results into a feeling which is satisfaction! It is sitting idle that leads to feeling which is tiresome or exhausted! There are many aspects involved while working. They all have a level of priority which is needed to be given in the exact manner or else the equanimity in the result or the graph of one person who works; doesn’t remain constant! Some of those aspects are: Understanding that “WE” is important than “ME”, Honesty towards one’s seat, Being creative in whatever we do, always searching for ways how the job can be done in more easier manner etc. One such aspect, I want to talk about today is Honesty towards “the seat” that we “sit” on every day while doing work!
Sometimes these little non-living things teach us very crucial lessons of our lives. As if they are not non-living and they too have their own way of reacting as we humans have! All of us might have experienced a scenario in life when we knew that we haven’t given our 100 percent in the work and so we didn’t get 100 percent credit for doing that worked. A job was meant to be done in a better manner, wasn’t done, just due to our lethargic attitude towards the work. It lost its beauty which demanded a little more hard-work, which we were capable of giving, but we didn’t! Have we ever tried questioning, why such a phenomenon occur! Why were we not capable enough of being honest to the chair that did let our asses rest while our legs were tired? Is it human nature to behave in a good manner when things/people are new and then we just get bored enough and careless? Forgetting how we started after reaching where we wanted to!
People have insights which help them recognise the vibes around them. A well maintained loyalty for a person’s seat at his job would give good vibes to himself as well as the person sitting next to him. These vibes makes a person understand the reason behind the good that happens with him and at the same times gives strength to deal with the circumstances in the bad times. These vibes falls under the highest level of knowledge that a person can gain that is intuitive knowledge. Not everyone can achieve this kind of insight but those who always wish to work for betterment of one’s self as well as the firm they work for; can achieve it!
One’s “seat”; on which he “sits” to work, is expected to be given even more amount of respect than the amount of respect given to a person at higher designation compared to his! Giving respect to one’s seat involves not only doing the work which is given to the person sitting on that seat in a manner no one else can do, but also doing that work in a manner no one else can expect it to be done better than what’s done! Money may satisfy your conveniences but respect satisfies your needs. And don’t forget we need air to live, not mobile phones; we need thirst to drink water, and not glass; we need a place where people recommend us for the quality of work we do, and not fake mirrors appreciating us on everything; so on a balancing scale, necessity weighs far more than convenience! Your seat speaks your work! And not to mention that, unless you don’t get such a seat which propels you to be loyal to it, you keep searching….
A short poem by IBI’s employee suits the best for this Blog as it says:
Being honest to my seat, no one tells me to be; I become because I love to!
Being creative and finding new ways to figure out my problems, no one tells me to do; I do that because I love to!
For I do not believe in being satisfied with my monthly salary, but getting paid with respect.
For I believe in relieving someone, by arriving to office and taking my responsibilities.
Being loyal, no one tells me to be, I become because I love to….
