Selling pen to a person who already has one and is also wise enough to recognize the use of pen, how will you sell him one more? What is more lucrative about your offer than others? You try once, twice, thrice but still the same response, no one is ready to listen to you. You are left with two options: 1. Beguile yourself that it is just because everyone else in your job is also in the same situation as you are in. 2. Try to figure out why you are not able to get the job done, why isn’t anyone willing to buy your pen?
Knowledge and Wisdom
Knowledge tells you, what you should speak; wisdom tells you, when to! Everyone speaks, but only few voices finds a place in one’s heart. When Dr S Radhakrishnan was having breakfast with a British President who was known for his opinionated character (He believed no other person could speak English better than an English person can), whilst the tray containing teapot and two cups with a bowl of sugar was served by the servant and when the President was mixing “Sugar” in a cup, which he served tea; he tests Dr Radhakrishnan by asking him,” Mr Radhakrishnan do you know that there is only one word in English dictionary that starts with the letter S and has its pronunciation starting from Sh?” to which Dr Radhakrishnan asks,” Are you “Sure” Mr President?” Such a wit depicting, wisdom defining anecdote it is!
A person should be seen unique from a bunch of others
Getting successful in any job requires knowing your persona as good as people are busy in knowing others’. During such a process of introspection one comes across his USP’S which are termed anomalies by others. These USP’S separate you from the world, enlightens you how you do a work and how others do it. One must understand that giving more importance to his thoughts and/or feelings is as important as respecting others thoughts and/or feelings is; only then will be a realization leading him/her to a result; how will that pen be bought by the same person who has a pen as well as an adequate knowledge of its use! It’s a transformation requiring not only a strong imagination but also the audacity to trust his/her imaginations more than everyone else’s.

It is not about discouraging others, it is about uplifting yourself; the differentiating line between them is just as thin as it is between two research analysts wherein one of them does his/hers surveys after having a complete understanding of questionnaire whilst the other one gets surveys just by reading the English in the questionnaire out! Both gets a survey in the end but the one who does the job with a complete understanding steals the show by also earning the knowledge regarding that on-going project.Knowledge & Wisdom; Knowing yourself & Knowing others; British President for his proud & Dr.Radhakrishnan for his prudence, quite a bunch of illustrations, ain’t it?
